At Last

Firework

PHOTO PROMPT -© Vijaya Sundaram

“I love you,” he whispered.  Fireworks exploded in her heart and a soppy grin tiptoed across her face.

“I love you too, you know.”  Her eyes sparkled as she spoke.

“I do know that, but I want you to know just how much you mean to me.”  She felt herself dissolve into his embrace.

His friends and family had received her into their lives warmly, glad to see he had found pleasure in life again after a tempestuous marriage.

She was thankful to have escaped her past and never thought she would trust a man again, but she did, wholeheartedly.

Oh, I LIKE this sweet story! What a change from all of the doom and gloom (which I like, too!)

(Sorry about my late response to your story! My computer is kaput, and I’m borrowing my husband’s. The Apple Store Genius Bar will be happy with my upcoming expenses!)
