PHOTO PROMPT © Claire Fuller

He started collecting objects early in our marriage saying they were things he picked up on his lone walks with the dog, but they seemed to hold a special importance; Shells, nets and miscellany placed on old wooden shelves.

Years later the meaning of the souvenirs he collected became apparent.

Having watched the news item, I went into the shed where he kept the odd assortment.

The stone, which I had blithely commented looked like one of the Beatles the night before, was arrogantly displayed on the shelf.  It was the one the seven year old girl had been carrying.
